Stevie, Mo & Lou
Stevie was rescued from the streets during the peak of kitten breeding season, heavily pregnant at only 6 months old.
She was malnourished, unable to get the nutrients she needed for her and her babies whilst homeless, and had patchy fur matted in dirt. After less than a week in care, she went into early-labour, struggling with complications from the first stage. She was rushed to a vet, where they performed an emergency caesarean to save her life. She had three surviving kittens, all premature and needing resuscitation.
Determined to change this fate for her remaining two, Mo and Lou, their foster carers, worked tirelessly to provide them with the care needed to continue to grow.
Mo and Lou developed big personalities (and appetites!), and after receiving all their kitten vet work, were ready to find their forever homes. Lou, his bold and loving personality, very quickly found his perfect match in a home with another cat to match his kitten-energy. Mo formed not only a special bond with his foster carers but with his two fur-foster siblings (previous Maggie’s rescues). So his search ended there, and he became a permanent part of his foster family.
A few words from Lucy, their foster carer and Mo’s forever home.
“Although it took a world of time, strength and patience (not to mention a few tears) – all the cuddles, snuggles and many moments of firsts made it worth it. It showed my partner and I our best selves and gave Stevie a chance to have the life she deserves.
“We feel so lucky in having welcomed a very special addition to our family”
– our chatty and incredibly goofy Mo, who’ll show so much love as a big brother to our future fosters.”
