The key to a successful and happy adoption is making sure that we match the right person to the right animal.
Maggie’s Rescue cares for all our animals through our amazing network of foster carers. They provide a safe and nurturing home for animals in need until their forever home is found.
Due to this model, our foster carers will know the animal really well. More often than not, they’ll be able to share a little about their history too and what led them to being rescued (be it an assisted home, a surrender, or being abandoned). This knowledge will ensure the animal can be successfully supported by their new forever family, and have the best, new start in a loving home.

Full vet check, including desexing and vaccination
Foster carers provide a thorough assessment for temperament, manners, toilet training and behaviour
A cost-effective choice, as we cover the cost of health checks (including worm and flea treatments prior to adoption)
What to consider when adopting?
Are you adopting for the right reason and can you commit long-term?
What is your lifestyle like and will this change? For example, are you at home during the day? Or out of the house for work?
Research the breed thoroughly. This should include the animal’s size, traits and exercise needs. Discuss this with your foster carer who will help you learn more
